Checking in to tell you about my evolution this summer at Camp Now. Reading over my last post, it’s easy to see how much I’ve learned in the past 11 weeks. Fledgeling me would be impressed by the understanding I’ve developed through diving deep into the Crealitation mythos and inner workings of Camp Now. The more I explore, the more I learn.
This season the Camp Now crew expanded and contracted, shifting and changing to keep up with the needs of our crew. It only takes a quick browse through the past 2 months of posts here on the Crew Blog to get a picture of the evolution our crew has seen this summer. Behind the scenes here at camp I have met and collaborated with amazing people who otherwise would never have come into my life. It has been a welcome challenge to discover how each crew member works best and how I can collaborate effectively with them. In an ever evolving workspace, this is a fantastic skill which I am grateful to flex and strengthen.
August at Camp Now feels like the Sunday of summer, especially on this rainy morning with Hazel organizing her storyboard art and Fox working on the “Dear You...” Daily as we sit together at the Art Farm kitchen table. Though today is calmer than past days this summer, we all still have our own bulging “to-do” lists which we will each spend the next few hours plowing through. Writing this prompted me to look back over my list for today, which I update everyday in my large moleskin notebook. Since my last post here, I’ve filled another 50 pages back and front in that notebook, putting me at about half way through and giving me a great overview of the steps I’ve been involved with that have gotten us where we are today.
It takes reflection to know where you’ve been and where to go next. This week I reflect on my role here at Camp Now and begin planning for the next six months of my journey. I work with my goal to revisit the values that drive me, and from there I move forward with gratitude for all the resources that are in my reach. In Crealitation we discover our gift and learn how to share it with others, so that we can create our most surreally ideal reality. At my current stage in life, this is a concept which is often on my mind. Only I can remember what the future has in store for me. Keep following the Crealitation story here and in the “Dear You...” Daily, and be the first to witness the evolution in process.
