Dear Fellow Travelers,
My boss, Cassidy A. Maze, asked me to ask my self: who is my audience for this Blog Post and what do I want them to know? That wasn’t difficult to answer. This is for all the people who have asked me what it is I do here at Camp Now, what on earth that is, as well as to share the story of finding my bliss in the work I do.
My name is Miranda Hope Shea—a nineteen-year-old artist, writer, performer, and jack-of-creative-trades. Currently: attending college, writing a book, learning my trade(s), navigating life, learning peace, and working at Camp Now. What is Camp Now? Camp Now Productions, LLC is an Intellectual Property, Artist Development, and Prototyping company that tells us, “If you don’t create your reality, your reality will create you.”
And how do I fit into this Master*Peace puzzle?
I have worked for Maze for two and a half years now. I began my journey as a reader, giving feedback on early versions of the Crealitation Fantasy story. Since then, my role here has grown and evolved enormously. I still am deeply involved in the fantasy of it all, but have expanded my horizons here taking on new responsibilities. This past summer I was granted a work study residency with Maze, in which I was able to grow my role in office, receive personal coaching from Maze, and begin using the Crealitative practices to develop my First Gift and begin making Money Pie. I am working on moving this project forward with Maze (see image below), as well as using the coaching I’ve receive to inform my personal creative projects, like my novel-in-the-works. Working with Crealitation, both in and out of the office, has created the opportunity for me to use my editing and brainstorming skills (helping to bring Crealitation to life) and use the methods it teaches to birth my own ideas and projects.
My job has now evolved to shift and fit my schedule as I travel from school near Boston, and being here in office in New Lebanon NY. Currently, I hold space as a studio assistant to Cassidy A. Maze, as she brings the story of G.E. Fox and Crealitation to life through Camp Now. I’m responsible for content editing and illustration, also assisting in website design and functionality. Other tasks include merchandise production and fulfillment, content testing and production schedule management. I also play an integral part in maintaining the social media campaigns, and helping to manage content distribution and product selection for inclusion into projects across trans-media platforms.
Trans-media storytelling is the new frontier in the presentation of artistic material. As an artist with a wide range of platform interests, from watercolor illustration and found object sculpture, all the way to slam poetry and set design, the idea of telling one story through multiple mediums, is a thrilling concept. And of course, a Trans-media company needs a Trans-media team that can cover its multi-faceted nature. The Camp Now Crew is a group of highly creative people who are using their personal talents and interests to fuel the company. The advantage of multi-platform office intersection is being able to learn about all angles of a company. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been involved with I.P. Legal research, website functionality and backend, as well as production schedule creation and timeline management. Having not only the knowledge of the workings of the other offices, but also having had the opportunity to be involved in their processes, means that I am able to inform my own work with this input and build off of an incredibly solid foundation.
One of the words I consistently gravitate towards in regards to this company has been transparency. Knowledge is power fellow travelers, and the more we know, the more we can teach and share, and the more freedom we have to create. I am incredibly excited to be able to share what we have been working on with all of you. I have been hard at work on bringing the game characters to life through my artwork, and can’t wait to share these images with you and expose my creative process and it’s products.
I’m sure there are a million questions, but you can be sure there are a million answers. The Crew has decided to experiment and test out hosting a blog for a few months, keeping you informed and inspired about all Camp Now news and information as we pull the Peace Trigger on our upcoming project releases and campaigns, and post our processes in the exclusive Crealitation social media site, The Egg Room. Stay tuned, and check out my Crew Mate's weekly posts on the Crew Blog here at www.campnow.biz. Also, Maze’s cryptic letters about the controversy, the future flying humans, and triggering the happy story (Now, before it’s too late!) are posted on the "Dear You…" blog at www.cassidyamaze.com. Below you can find all of our social media pages and a family of website links. We want YOU! Join the artistic r*evolution fellow travelers.
Until Next Time,
Miranda Hope Shea
